Everyone should plan their honeymoon before they plan their wedding. I want to get our reservation in now, because I'm sure some of the nicer, yet cheaper cabins go quickly. Tyler and I want to rent a cabin for a week somewhere up north (Lake Superior, Vermillion, Ely, Grand Marais, etc.) We want our own cabin with pets allowed, on a lake. If anyone has suggestions, please let me know!

There is also another Gunflint place next door, Gunflint Lodge, I think? You can also make reservations for horseback riding!
Oh I wanted to tell you more cause this is an awesome place: The morning breakfast ride is amazing, you take it to the top of this hill that overlooks gunflint Lake and you can see canada. You can also rent a canoe or boat and go to canada =)

another option..see www.kahneetah.com. the address says lutsen but its pretty close to grand marais. we we stopped by there to check out their beautiful gallery, got to talking with the lady at the desk (who was super nice) and she mentioend they also have these three cabins they rent out. we went back to check them out and they looked pretty nice. and private. so although weve never stayed there i would recommend checking into it because they seeemed so friendly.
